One of THOSE Pinners

Many of you know, I'm a late convert to the whole Pinterest thing.  As such, I was just thinking the other day that I did not be one of THOSE people who pins all this stuff and never does anything with it.

On that vein, I was thinking I'd do a Pinterest post of some of the things I'd pinned and actually done.  Lo and Behold, I opened my email and Mama Kat was reading my mind again, because guess what one of her prompts was this week:

Mama’s Losin’ It

4.) Pinterest Challenge, find something you've pinned, TRY it and share it. Was it worth pinning?

Without further ado...

I made this for dinner this week:

Totally worth it! I love asparagus! Although I am always alarmed when I pee the next morning...then I remember what I ate the night before and it's all good!

I've also made this:

Another success! I made egg noodles and then dumped them right into the crockpot and mixed it all up... SOOO GOOD!

And I started my garden this week with the help of this little beauty!

I hope I keep up with it!

But it's not a total love fest. I tried this last week too.

Doesn't it look like it'd be divine?

Umm, not so much... Kind of a bust. Not as good as I thought. The potatoes didn't cook all the way through and it ended up a little blah.

All in all, I'm feeling very proud. I'm still pinning way more than I'm doing, but it's all totally worth it!

I think you are doing pretty good. I have tried a few things I have pinned, but honestly Pinterest is such a time suck I just haven't done it too much!

I've made many recipes I've found on pinterest. Sometimes they work out and sometimes...not so much.

I keep buying asparagus and letting it get soggy before I ever get around to making it. *sigh* The guinea pig seems to enjoy it though!

It's funny how we give pinterest the credit, when it's really all stuff that's been on the web for a while!

I tried the stroganoff too, and while it was okay, it was a little heavy for us.

I do only pin things I think I will really put to use, and I am constantly deleting things to keep my pins under 400.

I took off my book board since I'm on goodreads, and I took off my clothing board because I'm not that into fashion (read, I have no money for clothes). I liked your bathing suit though. Good choice!

I've avoided all things cooking for this very reason, I know I won't follow through. Hmm, maybe I should give it a try!

I love using Pinterest for recipes. I consult it when I meal plan now!

Well done, mama. You do me proud. ;)

You know I'm a pinning addict. I've tried some stuff and have more to try - definitely. I'll get there eventually, I'm sure.

Great job! It is easy to pin and just never do- so sounds like you are on the right track

I haven't pinned a thing so you are ahead of someone.

But it looks good. And that is really what matters!

Glad you keep trying--some things you like and others you try again with a different approach.

We have been preparing our garden, but are not in full swing yet; afraid there will be a late frost still yet.

I'm so sorry to hear the last recipe was a bust; it looks delish!

At least you had more success with the other things you pinned.
