Friday Fragments: Too Much Unexpectedness???

My parents arrived yesterday... a DAY earlier than expected!  This time it was my fault; I read the email wrong.  The end result was the same... I had not Mom-proofed my home!

*****

They beat me home and when I logged on to type on my computer, I discovered that my mother had already been on it. Although I did not say anything, this falls into the category of when she touches the laundry.

I'd never dream of using their computer without asking... I just wouldn't.

Here's hoping I'd logged out of everything before I left this morning. Otherwise, my secret may be out!

*****

Then I logged on to Blogger this morning and it all looks different. Me no likey.  How much unexpected news is a girl supposed to handle in 12 hours???

*****

We had Decade Day at school this week.  My costume rocked, but my hair did not hold up as well as it did in the actual 80's when I kept Aqua Net in business.  I actually don't have any hairspray in the house, which made maintaining my Big Hair slightly impossible.

*****

It was also alarming to me that I didn't have to do more than dive into The Girl's closet and put the right pieces together to make and 80's outfit.  Am I really so old that the clothes I wore in elementary school are back in style???

Lord Help Me!

*****

I'm behind on visiting back again. Bear with me... I'm ever so slightly out of sorts!

My blogger hasn't changed YET. It's always hard adjusting to some big change like that. Ugh.

Yeah, the BIG HAIR just don't work without at least a half can of extra hold spray. Rave was always my fave!

Good luck with the visit! ;)

You could just send your mom to all our blogs since she uses your computer anyway!

I wonder what she'd say about my post today?

She'd totally have your back! I read too...just wanted to process a thoughtful reply, but I agree with you!

I changed the blogger about a month ago. It is not so bad once you get used to it but I have not found the advantage of the change yet.

The good 'ole days of Aqua Net. Gotta love it.

I've been MIA too much, what is the secret?? Or maybe I read it and I'm just having a brain freeze.

I switched to the new Blogger when it first was available. I like it and never went back.

Oh sorry to hear that. When we have relatives on the way, I am on a week cleaning binge and the Mrs. is never satisfied with our work.

I hope the weekend offers some respite then...

Gee, now I am glad my parents aren't computer literate.

I had to laugh at your Big Hair comment. I got a really short haircut before we went to San Antonio last month, and I was hoping nobody was pitying me as a cancer survivor in the Land of Big Hair. I didn't see that much big hair, actually.

I'd be cheesed is someone helped themselves to my computer, too. Even if it was my mum.

I am not liking the new layout either. There is too much white space at the top.

My dad has discovered my blog and likes to call with tips.

My parents know and read my blog along with the rest of my family- so yea- definitely helps me keep my filter on a bit. And yes- I am just having a hard time finding anything I like at the stores now as did we really want the 80's back??

My nearly 80 year old mom used to read my blog. She never does anymore, because she says she does not have time for that sort of thing. Which is a good thing, as Martha would say.

I just hate it when you finally get used to a site and they go and change it all around. If it works don't fix it! Thanks for stopping by the blog; hope to see you again soon.

My computer is passworded so NO ONE but me can use it - - - I won't even tell Fisherhubby the password.

You can "get around" the new blogger. Up in the right hand corner of that new nasty "design" page there is a gear wheel looking tool. Click on it and in the menu is the choice to "return to old blogger interface."

I have had to click that several times - - - as they keep TRYING TO FORCE ME OVER to the new - - - but I HATE the new, so a few clicks is worth it to get back to the familiar.

I feel your pain about the computer. Only it's our kids! I told them to go mess up dad's computer and leave mine alone!

Although, I have to say...if someone wanted to come do my laundry I would welcome that! :) Laundry is my downfall because it is never-ending! I sometimes just want paint on clothing.

I don't like the new blogger format either! =/
I miss 80's hair!

These comments have been as great as your post! However, I'm still stuck on the fact that you can wear your daughter's clothes! :)

I'd be ticked if anyone used my computer without asking. I'd almost be fine with the laundry thing, though.haha

Thanks for linking up; I always enjoy your company :)
