Friday Fragments: Jealousy, Remembering, and Reading Oh My!

I can't believe the number of bloggers whose blogs I regularly read will be at BlogHer next week and I'm sad that I am not one of them!

*****

Last year on this day, I was blogging about feeling restless. Glad that I'm in a better place this summer!

*****

In case you missed it, I remembered what I forgot last week! I guess it's a good thing, because it was worth a blog post in itself!

*****

I had a coupon that made the box less than a dollar, so this week, I introduced my children to the joy of Fruity Pebbles and had my first taste in about 20 years.  It remains my favorite sugar-cereal on the planet and I ~obviously if it's been 20 years~ rarely buy it because it's so unhealthy and I'm libel to eat the whole box!

*****

The Pioneer Woman blogged about making mozzarella this week and I'm thinking I might give it a go when my children are away. We shall see!

*****

Speaking of The Pioneer Woman, I ordered her new cookbook and it arrived this week along with an new YA novel.  I can't tell you about that one, because the author is a high school friend of Cute Boy ~ he and the friend that introduced us got acknowledged in her first book, which came out when we were dating, so I bought it and its a trilogy, so I kind of *had* to buy the second book~  and if I tell you about it, I might get found out! I used a gift card from the end of the year.... I actually spent it on me and not the classroom!

I think it's nice that you shopped for yourself with GC - when I buy book GC for my kids teachers and specifically tell them to shop for pleasure not their classrooms...

Don't worry, I won't be a BlogHer either. Glad to hear you are progressing nicely. The blog really does make for a new age journal.

I LOVE fruity pebbles! I can't eat them much, the combo of sugar & milk makes me ILL =( but they are my favorite for sure.

Glad you're in a better place than this time last year. Yay! :)

Dracen, out of the blue, wanted Fruity Pebbles a couple of weeks ago. We were in Target and he said he was looking for the cereal that looked like Rice Krispies but was different colors. I knew immediately that he meant Fruity Pebbles. First time I'd had them in years too. They must be making a comeback!

Frosted. Flakes. Enough said.

I went to BlogHer when it was "close," in Chicago, but I won't be in NY, either. It was a lot of fun, and I encourage you to attend some day! The freebies I got paid for my entire trip.

I like some sugar cereal now and then, but Fruity Pebbles are waaay too sweet for me! :)

Enjoy your books! :) Thanks for linking up.

Happy weekend. I have not been to a conference yet.

Fruity Pebbbles. That brings back memories. Sometimes I serve the generic form of Lucky Charms mixed with unsweetened corn flakes at our children's program. Sometimes, a little sweet stuff isn't so bad.
