Writer's Workshop: I Am

I Am

I am loyal and caring
I wonder what the future holds for me
I hear waves crashing on the sandy beach
I see the endless blue of the ocean
I want to love and be loved
I am loyal and caring

I pretend to be strong and fearless
I feel the ocean breeze on my face
I touch the rough, hot sand
I worry that I will be alone forever
I cry over the news that my Grammy is very ill
I am loyal and caring

I understand that God has a plan for me
I say He will see me through
I dream of living by the beach
I try to be strong for my children
I hope to find love again
I am loyal and caring

I am terrible at writing self reflecting poetry that doesn't rhyme and stuff. Yours is awesome.

Hi Darl,

This is fantastic! I wish I had the skills to write the way you do. All my poetry is dark and disturbing...

Warm Regards,

This is beautiful, my dear. Very heartfelt and I love the use of the ocean, which for me, has always been metaphoric in writing. XOXO
