A Day Late and A Dollar Short: Best of 2012

I could pretend that I waited because I didn't want to do it when everyone else was doing it... that I like to be different.

Except that it was really because I got behind after traveling for the holiday...

and then I couldn't figure out how to do it.

At first I only found 8 on the list because I could only figure out how to go "All Time." Fortunately, it turns out that 8 of my "All Time" most popular posts were this year, but then, as I was scrolling through my list of posts, the counts on some were higher than those on the list, so I came up with 10, but they may not be the "right" 10.

Typical *grins*

Anyway,  in true Sorta Southern Single Mom fashion, here are my Top Ten Most Popular Posts for 2012:

Y'all seem to like it when I read. This summer in  The Book that was Made for my Blog  I told you about a book I'd read that was tailor-made for Single Mom in the South... and then I went back to work, got overwhelmed and never did read the sequel or much else for that matter.  Perhaps that will change in 2013?  I smell a resolution coming on...

Single mom posts always resonate with y'all as well. As a matter of fact, I discovered in my little foray through my stats that someone found me by searching for "Big A$$ Single Moms".  How about them apples?

Anywho, y'all always super supportive when I post about the heartaches that sometimes accompany being divorced as I did in When He Breaks Your Child's Heart . While our Disney Vacation was wonderful in many ways, sometimes it's hard to do it by yourself, as I explained in When Yours are the Children Who Don't Behave. As I embarked on a new relationship with Lawn Boy *winks* this spring, I had a friend who had trouble with it. I told you about it in When Friendship Goes Awry. I'm happy to report that when she realized he wasn't going anywhere, she bucked up and has cautiously become one of his bigger supporters.

I seem to  get your attention when I attempt something southern, which I did when I made Chicken and Pastry.  I also got my southern/country on at several concerts this year, the first of which was a hoot of people watching. In Advice and Observations from a Sober Concert Goer I also proved I really do exist because my partner in crime for the evening is rather well-known in the blog world! *SQUEE!* ~She's since met Lawn Boy too, just in case you thought I was making him up!

I was featured on BlogHer this year with my take on decorating my vehicle with A Walking...Make that Driving Advertisement.

The fact that I linked all of my fragments together using a bathing suit apparently got your attention. Bathing Suit Tales was also one of your favorite posts this year!

Finally, family is so important and my family has been a huge support to me on my journey as a single mom. I wrote a poem for my Grammy. When I Was Younger remembers what it was like to spend time with her as a child. It's one of my favorites, so I'm glad y'all liked it too. Of course, it's not always serious, I often entertain with stories about my mother ~ she even has her own label; my mother strikes again.~ Like Mother, Like Daughter hit home with a lot of you!

Checking out my "traffic sources" always cracks me up. All my talk about the "wiener" dogs brings in some doozies! :o

Your stories about your mother always crack me up. Love her!
