She had been drawing faces for each person in the room on balloons and on hers she wrote, "I love you. Will you merry my dad?"
and then she said, "Miss Leigh, Miss Leigh, do you see what my balloon is saying!?!"
Her reasoning:
That way we could kiss!
Reminds me of the opening scene from one of my favorite movies...
