Friday Fragments: Busy Week

It's been a busy week Below the Mason Dixon Line.

My parents arrived last week and Daddy was here through the beginning of the week. Lawn Boy stayed a few nights so I had a FULL house!

*****

It's also The Birthday Week which started with sleepover for another Birthday Girl last weekend and will culminate with one here this weekend.

*****

I've been on two Field Trips this week. One as a parent with The Boy and another with my class the next day.

I was standing in the crowd outside the trip with my class and one of my moms walked up and said, "I couldn't find you! You look like one of the kids!" I told her she was one of my favorites!  I may wear my hair in pigtails on field trips and I was in a school t-shirt, shorts and tennis shoes, but this 36-year-old mother of two, carrying ten extra pounds DOES NOT look like one of the kids!

*****

My mom will be coming to stay with us on weekends for the time being to give my sister Evie, Jack and Baby B some alone time.

*****

My house will never be the same again, I fear! *grins*

Neither will my figure. I have been stress eating and have gained what feels like a ton of weight! ~See field trip frag~ I swear, I always GAIN weight for bathing suit season!

Someone I work with who is already a grandma has been losing LOTS of weight - something like 40 pounds. I, of course, have not told her this but she loiks gaunt and old now. Some fluffy curvage is a good thing.

I lose a few pounds every spring/summer and gain it back every winter! I've been counting my calories with fitness pal on my iphone. Check it out, if you haven't. I love it!

Happy Friday!

How great to look like one of the kids which I'm sure you do!

Stress eating is my enemy and I am trying not to start that again!

Good luck with mom staying on the weekends. I hope it goes well!

Did you retain your sanity with a FULL house? ;)

Sounds like a busy Birthday week!

How cool you got mistaken for one of the kids - bet you were walking on Cloud 9 the rest of the day! :)

Good luck on the weekends! ;)

I have a neighbor...a 40 something mother of 3 who walks around the neighborhood and I always think she's a teen until I get right up to her. Honestly. So...I bet the parent who said that truly meant it. GOOD FOR YOU!!
Hooray for the beginning of Birthday Week! --Lisa

This bathing suit thing is just absurd. It makes us all crazy. We want to go out and play and cool off but we have to wear what???? Oh know! I've been good for 3 whole days but I do have a few clandestine Easter eggs stashed in my car just in case.

Man, you've been busy! Fun field trips. I've heard that as we get older, when we're carrying some extra weight we look healthier and younger, so I'm guessing you probably do look like one of the kids (in a good, healthy way). Sorry you've been stress eating. How fun to have you mom coming to stay with you on weekends!! Wheeeee

My weight has been the same since kids until this year! Yes! Stress eating! I thought the seams on my jeans were going to split today! So I can relate - not happily, but I can relate. Have a great time with your full house!

Full house and you still manage to make me smile with your post. That's impressive :)

I understand the stress eating.... I'm still trying to get the hang of understanding my baby and I'm craving chocolate suddenly. Lol
