Friday Fragments: Sparse

Mother's Day is upon us. This is the first time in many years that my mother and I are in the same state for Mother's Day.  Are we celebrating together?  Nope!  My parents are headed to the beach for a week with friends and we are celebrating as we usually do.  You can read about it here and here.

*****

20 days of school left. Not that I'm counting.

*****

Daddy bought The Boy golf clubs. He brought them down as a surprise and picked him up from school to get out for 9 holes. I don't play golf. I am dangerous with clubs as evidenced by the time I accidentally used The Girl, then two, to make a bank shot.

It's not even 5 am and I am wide awake.  That makes for one heck of a long day!  ...And that's pretty much all I've got rolling around in my brain right now. But it's 4:45 and the coffee isn't up yet, so I hope you'll forgive my lack of wittiness and my sparse fragments!

I was up late waiting for my daughter to get to where she was going via a very delayed flight. Hubs very kindly made me coffee before he left though...Happy Mother's Day to you!

I was up before 5 too! Must be a virus going around! :) I am pretty sparse today too and I don't play golf! :)

Have a wonderful Mother's day!

I always want to wake up before 5 am so that I meditate and finish my house chores before the kids awake. But I never made it. I can't sleep at night and I can't wake up in the morning. I want to create the habit of early wake-ups, and I'm still trying. Have a blessed Mother's Day.

Being wide awake before 5am definitely makes for a long day!

Sorry you're not getting to spend Mother's Day with your mom - celebrating as you usually do sounds like a good plan, though! :)

PN has 21 calendar days plus 2 hours of school left (14 actual school days plus 2 hours) but I'm not counting, either. ;)

Have a great weekend - and Happy Mother's Day! :)

My baby wakes me up at 1am and 4am, so I understand that feeling.

Wishing you a wonderful Mother's Day!,

Ugh, 5am huh??? How gross is that??

I am glad you are intentional with your Mother's Day. While I don't necessarily vote for "I am an island" mentality, a person does own their own happiness. I have always been told that life is 10% circumstance and 90% reaction to it. It's easy to forget at that moment, believe me, I know. But making lemonade is an art. Anyone can be this type of artist ;-) I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day!!!

I need a beach holiday!

And I came here from Mrs. 4444~

I saw your 'how to stock your 'ho'. Ha! I love learning about holistic remedies so I'm on my way to click that link.

I'm an early riser, often because my cats like treats as soon as it's light outdoors. They don't get the "longer days in summer" thing at all.

But I'm retired so I can nap whenever I like---as long as I'm not driving the car. Age has its benefits!

Hate being up that early. By 11am it feels like it should be 5pm and by 5pm it feels like midnight!

HAVE A GREAT MOTHER'S DAY!! :) --The Dose Girls

Happy Mother's Day!
I woke up at 6 am on Friday and couldn't go back to sleep. Annoying!

Happy Mother's Day!!!! Golf is dumb. The end.

Well, not really. I'm right there with you with this "HEY! I'M TOTALLY AWAKE WAY EARLIER THAN NECESSARY!" Does this mean we're getting closer to needing residency in a "retirement home" where curfew is 7 p.m. and breakfast buffet is open at 4:30 a.m.?

I don't remember the last time I was up that early, but I'm pretty sure vomit was involved.

Sorry, that was gross.

I don't do well in the mornings, I guess, is the moral of that story. LOL!! You're forgiven for rambling posts--I love some of those posts the best!
