Old School Blogging: Alphabet Meme

I keep meaning to get back to my Ask Single Mom in the South series and things keep getting in my way!  Today, that "thing" is Old School Blogging with Elaine and Jennifer.

I bet if I look back in my archives I probably did this already, but here we go!

Alphabet Meme

A. Attached or Single? Attached, which I guess goes against the title of my blog, but after a year and change with Lawn Boy, I think we qualify as attached, no?

B. Best Friend? I've known my BFF since Kindergarten. She lives in my hometown.

C. Cake or pie? Depends on the occasion but generally, if it's a desert, it's a go!

D. Day of choice? Any day I do not have to go to work!

E. Essential Item? Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer

F. Favorite color? Purple, Pink or Turquiose

G. Gummy bears or worms? Neither, but in an semi-related note, the parents of one of my students this year manufactures giant gummy bears.

H. Hometown? a small town in the northeast. My parents still live in the house they brought me home to.

I. Favorite Indulgence? ice cream, Ben & Jerry's

J. January or July? July ~ I'm a teacher!

K. Kids? 2; one boy, one girl

L. Life isn’t complete without? Family

M. Marriage date? I could list it, but since I'm divorced, it seems silly, no?

N. Number of brothers/sisters? 1 younger sister

O. Oranges or Apples. Apples, Macintosh to be exact

P. Phobias? Heights

Q. Quotes? "I carried a watermelon"

R. Reasons to smile?  My kids, Lawn Boy, my new niece, Monday is my last day for the year, I just stocked up on a case of 3 Buck Chuck...

S. Season of choice? Summer ~ See J and R.

T. Tag 5 People.  I always hate this part. It's like a chain letter, remember those?  All that pressure! Can I pass?

U. Unknown fact about me? Good gracious, I feel like I've told y'all most of it... except my real name and I'm not telling that.  How about, I was originally an interior design major, but I come from a long line of teachers and couldn't fathom having to work in the summer.

V. Vegetable? Broccoli

W. Worst habit? Eating for entertainment

X. Xray or Ultrasound? Um... ultrasound, since I've never had an x-ray for a good reason and the only ultrasounds I've ever had were during pregnancy!

Y. Your favorite food? Pizza... the real stuff, from NY

Z. Zodiac sign? Cancer ~ I made it 10 whole days without announcing "It's My Birthday Month!" on my blog! *grins*

Eating for entertainment is totally our worst habit, too! And yes, after a year, we definitely think you can say attached! :)-The Dose Girls

I wonder what is involved in manufacturing giant gummy bears! It's probably best I don't know, huh?

This is my second time seeing this type of a post. I think I've finally been encouraged to give it a go. I love you response for "D" Touche...lol. Andrea visiting from SITS.

I would love to have the summer off, but I would make the worst teacher ever. Also? Being a teacher just for summer isn't a great idea. (I'm not saying that's what you did, but that's what I would do.)

IT's so nice to find out all these details about you! A year --- you are certainly attached! Loved your answer to marriage date too!!!

Definitely attached! I should go back to school to be a teacher because I love the idea of having summers off. Being a SAHM was awesome for that! I highly dislike that tagging of people, too! Happy birthday month! =) This was so fun to read!

Yah!!! for being attached to Lawn Boy!

For some reason this year I am totally feeling like I deserve the summer off. Obviously I should have stuck with my original teaching plan. :)

And Happy Birthday Month!!!!

I definitely think a year counts as attached! And, honestly? I love that you passed on the tag…those feel a bit like middle school again, don’t they?

I love how you've known your best friend since kindergarten - and yes, I think you qualify as attached!
